Yeah, It Was a Mistake...

Oblivion now owns my life.  Damn you, awesome mods, damn you all. Dx

On one hand, vanilloblivion isn't very deep...but a few (okay, a lot) of mods later, this is an entirely different beast.  This will hold me over until Skyrim and Mass Effect 3 release late this year.

Skyrim? First, Onward to Oblivion!

Sheesh, I think I made a mistake. I found my old TES IV: Oblivion game disc...and I've reinstalled it and am now buried up to my eyeballs in mods that I am downloading and installing.  I've been at this for hours...maybe I'll be able to play the game by the time I get back to MERP (Mass Effect Role Playing).  No, no, I'm almost finished...kind of.  I have the general idea of managing the mods down, so we'll see...fingers crossed that everything plays nice with each other and I don't cause my PC to have a meltdown.

Surrogates

Just watched the movie Surrogates.  WOW, why have I never heard of this before? Really good sci-fi, that's for sure.  Made me think a lot about our society's current path to dehumanization.  Our collective quest to "ascend" our humanity, to rid ourselves of our bodies of flesh and blood.  There is something to be said of the message this movie sends us.  Especially loving the credits song, too, "I Will Not Bow," by Breaking Benjamin.

Something A Little More Upbeat

Okay, after I got that giant emo-bomb off my shoulders, I figured I should look at things that make me happy...video games are one of those things.  Now, I've seen the Skyrim trailer a dozen times over, but I have to say it just never gets old.  It's uplifting, it's inspiring, and it just helps my mood...so...here.  Keep in mind, that should be an HD version of the trailer...well worth the download wait, I think. :3

Pokemon White Addiction

I've been buried in Pokemon White since launch day, clocking in well over a hundred hours between working, eating, and sleeping.  I haven't been this hooked on a Pokemon game since Gold/Silver/Crystal way back when.  I don't know what it is about Black and White...the story is definitely the deepest, bar none of any Pokemon game, and that helps a lot, let me tell you.  Being made to face the tougher questions implicit in the Pokemon universe's mechanics and society has me contemplating the game world more deeply.  Granted, the game addresses it all in an overly simplified, shoulder-shrug manner...but I can hardly complain when the story is finally something fresher and newer than the past, oh, EVERY generation of Pokemon.
